Campaign Overview
To drive brand awareness and tune-in for AppleTV+’s original adventure film Fountain of Youth, Atlas Obscura was engaged as the creative agency to develop a fully immersive, multi-platform branded campaign.

The Challenge
How do you capture the imagination of a niche but highly engaged audience and connect them emotionally to a fictional treasure-hunting film?
Goal: Drive awareness, curiosity, and tune-in intent by embedding Fountain of Youth meaningfully within Atlas Obscura’s most beloved editorial products.
Strategic Solution
Atlas Obscura relaunched and reimagined its Place of the Day franchise as the centerpiece of this campaign, featuring hand-curated, real-world locations that mirrored the film’s themes—from legendary fountains to lost cities.

I led the production of this cross-platform campaign to bring Fountain of Youth to life for Atlas Obscura’s curious and engaged global audience.
What I did:
Relaunched Place of the Day as a custom editorial series themed around the film
Produced a fully branded Interactive Content Hub with a custom-built interactive map
Executed homepage takeovers, sponsored newsletters, and engaging social content
How I led:
Directed cross-functional collaboration across editorial, design, product, and partnerships
Managed external vendors to deliver the interactive hub and map
Oversaw timelines, deliverables, and brand integration from concept to launch
Place of the Day
A signature editorial series at Atlas Obscura, Place of the Day is reimagined to align with the adventurous spirit of Fountain of Youth. Each day, a new location is featured across the homepage, app, newsletter, and social—curated to reflect the film’s themes of discovery and myth. AppleTV+ holds exclusive sponsorship and full brand integration throughout, embedding the film into the audience’s daily journey.
Interactive Content Hub
To deepen engagement beyond daily editorial, we created a bespoke Interactive Content Hub—a rich digital destination inviting audiences to explore real-world places tied to the mythology of Fountain of Youth.
The hub features:
An interactive map spotlighting iconic filming locations and real-life "fountains of youth"
Full integration of AppleTV+ creative assets, including the official trailer and key art
Strategic distribution via Meta and a dedicated Atlas Obscura newsletter
